About Ash
Being a typical nineties kid, I grew up around the digital convergence and have a love for all things tech. It wasn’t until a quad bike accident in the mid-2000s however, did that technology obsession flow over into the world of photography.
While waiting for a knee reconstruction, I sold my bike and bought my first DSLR camera, a silver Canon 400D and a clunky little plastic 50mm prime lens. Anyone that gets into photography knows that feeling when you get that blurred depth of field for the first time, it hooks you in instantly and for me it was no different. Like a lot of photographers now, I shoot mirrorless, opting for the portability of a small camera system.
My journey as a photographer has included forays into automotive and aviation, and these days has spawned into a lot more travel based photography.
I love nothing more than to travel and camp around my home state of Western Australia and beyond with my camera in tow.
Make sure you check out my blog to see what I am up to.
